2. Proverbs:  

    Proverbs are simple and concrete saying that expresses a truth based on common sense or experience. They usually offer life advice. If you use proverbs appropriately, they create a very different impression. You sound like a scholar. So read about proverbs and use them in your conversation. 1. When in Rome, do as the Romans. 3. Idioms and phrases:-

  An idiom is a word or phrase which means something different from its literal meaning. Idioms can mean something different from what the group or pair of words mean. Therefore, a lot of practice for using idioms is required. Mastering the idioms means you are using and understanding a language like a native speaker. When you use idioms in your communication it creates a different impression. Examples: If you say I am thrilled to bits means you are extremely happy. 2. Getting on my nerves means irritating or annoying. 3. Nook and corner means everywhere. 4. Inns and out means full details He knows all the inns and outs of this problem. Set aside: to reject or cancel Put out: extinguish Please put out that lamp. Act upon: Work according to suggestion He should act upon his mother’s advice.  

4. Figures of speech:

    Figures of speech are the ornaments of a language. They have the meaning other than the literal meaning. Their use enhances the beauty of a language. Use of simile, metaphor, hyperbole, personification can create a good impact on your English speaking. So read about these figures of speech and use them.                                      

5. Alternative words/ synonyms  

Just to enhance your English you can replace some common words with alternative words which sound better and impressive. For e.g. very tired- exhausted Very cold- freezing Awesome -smashing, majestic, incredible. Great-commendable, fabulous Pretty- gorgeous, stunning

 6. Good Thoughts or Quotes:

    It sounds very scholarly but if you use good thoughts appropriately and correctly, you can convey your message very beautifully. This use of good thoughts reflects your command over the language and it creates a good impression.  

7.Clarity:

    When you communicate with someone, you should have clarity in your speaking. Remember you should convey your message successfully. So speaking with clarity is must to create an impression.
